The Prayer of Binding and Loosing

God intends for the Body of Christ to police the evil forces of this world. We are to change circumstances to line up with God’s will and put Satan under our feet through the power of God. We are to spoil his plans, plots and maneuvers against God’s people!

The prayer of binding and loosing halts Satan’s activities. Matthew 12:29 says, “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” You have authority over Satan (Luke 10:19). You exercise it with the prayer of binding and loosing. “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18).

As you enforce the authority vested in the Church, speak directly to Satan. Exercise your faith in Jesus’ work at Calvary.

When Jesus was raised from the dead, He stripped Satan of his authority over mankind. That authority has been delegated to the Body of Christ in the earth. Bind Satan in the Name of Jesus.

Many times Gloria and I add a paragraph to our agreement prayer: “Satan, we bind you and render you helpless in this situation. As a matter of record, you are hereby bound in the Name of Jesus.” From then on, we thank God that Satan is bound and unable to work in the situation. We refuse to give him any place.

The ultimate choice is yours whether or not to receive from God. Jesus asked the man at the pool of Bethesda, “Wilt thou be made whole?” (John 5:6). His attitude is still the same: “Do you want to stay the way you are, or do you want to be made whole?” The choice is yours. God has already provided the way out for you.

Do not give Satan any place by talking about the problem after you have agreed and bound him. Instead of talking the problem, talk the answer—God’s Word.

Then loose the angelic forces of God to see that it comes to pass. Hebrews 1:13-14 describes the angels as ministering spirits, sent to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation. They are messengers sent to work in our behalf. Say: “Ministering spirits, I loose you in the Name of Jesus to minister in my behalf according to the will of God.”

Tap In to the Mind of the Spirit

The [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit…because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.
– Romans 8:26-27, The Amplified Bible

Most believers don’t realize it, but praying in the spirit, or praying in other tongues, is a spiritual exercise that strengthens your inner man. Just like barbells build up your arms, praying in tongues will build up your spirit. If you’ll do it faithfully, it will help to keep that flesh body of yours in line.

“Well, Gloria,” you may ask, “why can’t I just do that praying in my native language?”

Because the Bible says your “weakness” gets in the way. Many times your natural mind doesn’t have the first idea how to say a prayer that will strengthen you against temptations or bring the answer you need.

Your mind is not informed like your spirit is. Your spirit is in contact with God. That’s why, as Romans 8:26-27 says, the Holy Spirit comes to our aid because we do not know how to pray as we ought.

Praying in tongues enables you to pray the perfect will of God for your life. It allows you to step out of the realm of the flesh and in to the realm of the spirit so that no matter how weak or ignorant you may be in the natural, you can pray exactly what you need.

Praying in tongues is the tool God has given us to tap in to the mind of the Spirit. When we pray in tongues, we activate our spirit to understand as the Holy Spirit enlightens us.

But be warned, it won’t work for you unless you put it to work. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He’s not going to come storming in and make you pray in the spirit. He’s going to wait for you to put your will in gear.

So yield to the Holy Spirit today. Begin to pray in tongues every day and build yourself up. Tap in to the mind of the Spirit. You’ll be blessed to have the strength, ability and answers you need for every situation!

Confessing God’s Plan for Me

I know God’s plans are to prosper me and not to harm me. His plans are to give me hope and a future. I delight myself in the Lord and desire His perfect plan for my life, and He gives me the desires of my heart.

I believe God’s promises are for me. I love the Lord and walk in love toward others, forgive the offenses of others, am a giver, offer God my praise and thanksgiving, have a well body, am free from fear, am prosperous, and I am covered in THE BLESSING.

My New Job Confession

I released my faith for my new job on this date:_________, therefore I have my new job now. I thank and praise the Lord for my new job as a __________. I see myself using the gifts and talents God has given me to_________.

My faith works and will come to pass. If any obstacles come my way, I will cast them aside and continue standing in faith for my new job. I know that I have been called according to God’s purpose, and He works all things for the good in my life.

My Prayers Work Confession

When I ask for something according to God’s will, He hears my prayers. Even if I don’t know what to pray the Holy Spirit intercedes on my behalf. When I pray I release my faith as I believe God and pray in the Spirit. I believe that I receive what I ask for in Jesus’ Name.

I thank and praise God for the answer to my prayer and I believe I have the results by faith. I praise Him with my whole heart because He is good. His mercy endures forever!

A Prayer For Employment

Our Heavenly Father is very interested in you and desires the very best for you. It is His will that you prosper and be in health as your soul prospers (III John 1). Be aware that God is not limited to meet your need or bless you through a paycheck, although He can certainly use a paycheck to do so. Always remember that God is your source and you are His very own child.

Keep the Word first place in your life. Do what God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

We join our faith with yours as you pray this prayer:

“Father, in Jesus’ Name, I seek Your wisdom and trust You to direct me in seeking the job that is best for me. I will walk in mercy and truth and lean not unto my own understanding. Thank You for opening wide a door which no man can shut and for giving me favor.

“It is my desire, Father, to be debt-free and owe no man anything except to love him, according to Your Word. I am willing to work with my own hands, so that I lack nothing. I praise You that it is Your will that I am self-sufficient financially and have an abundance to meet all of my needs, with enough left over to give generously to others.

“I will not fret or have anxiety about anything, Father, for Your peace mounts guard over my heart and mind. Because You are my source, I have confidence, comfort and encouragement in Your provision. I thank You, Father, for supplying my need of employment according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Pursuit Of His Presence

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath.
– Acts 2:18-19

Now, more than ever before, it is vital for every Christian to understand that we are in the last of the last days. We are on the edge of the greatest outpouring of God’s glory this earth has ever seen. Amazing, supernatural things are beginning to happen just as the Bible said they would.

Yet many believers are sitting back, watching these events like spiritual spectators. They seem to think God will sovereignly empty some great glory bucket, spilling signs and wonders over the earth. But it won’t happen that way.

It will happen the way Acts 2 reveals it. If you’ll read that last phrase in today’s scripture, taking out the punctuation that was put in by the translators, you’ll see a divine connection. You’ll see that God is saying when His servants and handmaidens prophesy, when they speak out His divine will and purpose in intercession and faith, then in response to their speaking, He will work signs and wonders.

That means, if this last outpouring of glory is to come in its fullness, all of God’s servants and handmaidens must be in their place. What place? The place of prayer!

Some years ago, I had been studying the authority of man, and I had seen over and over in the Word how the prayers of God’s people precede His actions on the earth. Yet I hung on to the idea that God still did His most important works independently of man.

One day, as I was praying about it, I said, “Lord, You brought Jesus into the earth sovereignly, didn’t You?”

No, I didn’t, He answered.

“You mean, there were people who interceded for the birth of Jesus?”

Yes, He said. Then He told me about Simeon.

As the Lord revealed to me the account of Simeon in Luke 2, I saw how he was led by the Holy Spirit to the temple the day Joseph and Mary dedicated Jesus. I read how he had fervently prayed, asking God to send the Redeemer.

It’s amazing enough that when Simeon saw Jesus, he immediately recognized who Jesus was. It’s even more amazing that he knew Jesus was bringing salvation to the Gentiles (verse 32)—a fact the rest of the Church didn’t find out until Peter went to Cornelius’ house, 10 years after the Day of Pentecost!

We must get on our knees and start praying for the fullness of the final outpouring in these last days. We must start speaking out God’s Word and His will for this last hour in prophecy and intercession so He can do signs and wonders. We must enter into that place of prayer.

Answered Prayer—Always! (Part 3)

Testify of what you believe—the Word.

Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” You have a right to everything Jesus’ sacrifice bought and paid for. So testify to that right. Proclaim it!

You have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus!

You are what the Word says you are!

You can have what the Word says you can have!

But knowing all that won’t do you any good if you don’t believe it, receive it, apply it in your life…and make it the word of your testimony.

Help someone else.

Galatians 5:6 says faith works by love. So love others. Get involved in helping people the way Jesus did. Pray for and encourage them. Give your testimony—tell them what Jesus has done for you.

When you start sharing Jesus with others, your problems will begin to roll away.

Get on the giving end.

Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

This is not just talking about money. You can give in the area where you have need. Give of the little you do have, and it will be “given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.”

For instance, if you need healing, pray for someone else to be healed. James 5:16 says to “pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Remember, seeing results in prayer can become a way of life for you, when you follow Jesus’ instructions. He said, “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

Notice He didn’t say you would receive half or three-quarters of your prayers answered. Jesus said all, and He meant exactly what He said.
