You can also use many different translations of the Bible during your study time. To start out, you may want to use the King James Version and The Amplified Bible. Brother Copeland does the majority of his studying in these two versions. He also recommends the Worrell, Goodspeed and Wuest’s Expanded translations. All of these helps and versions of the Bible can be found in almost any local Christian bookstore.

Use the books and tapes of other ministers, but do not allow them to take the place of your personal study time. Take what they have learned and allow the Holy Spirit to add to it. And of course, no matter what material you study, be sure it lines up with God’s Word.

Here are some steps to follow in studying the Word:

Apply the Word to yourself personally.

Allow the Holy Spirit to make the Word a reality in your heart.

Carefully ponder how the Word applies to your everyday life.

Dwell on how the Word changes your situation.

See yourself as God sees you.

Realize the integrity of God’s Word.

Here is a prayer to pray with confidence as you sit down to study and meditate on His Word:

Father, in the Name of Jesus I come before You today. I take authority over Satan and bind his operation in my life. I pray the eyes of my understanding are enlightened that I may know how rich is Your inheritance in the saints, that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, walking fully pleasing to You, increasing in the knowledge of You.

Father, I pray I will be rooted and built up in Jesus, established in the faith. I am confident that You who began a good work in me will continue it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I know You have heard my prayer, so I know I have the petitions that I asked. Thank You in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer of Salvation And Baptism In The Holy Spirit

If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, simply pray the following prayer in faith, and Jesus will be your Lord!

“Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, ‘Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved’ (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10: ‘If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.’ I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.

“I am now reborn! I am a Christian—a child of Almighty God! I am saved! You also said in Your Word, ‘If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: HOW MUCH MORE shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?’ (Luke 11:13). I’m also asking You to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, rise up within me as I praise God. I fully expect to speak with other tongues as You give me the utterance (Acts 2:4). In Jesus’ Name. Amen!”

Begin to praise God for filling you with the Holy Spirit. Speak those words and syllables you receive—not in your own language, but the language given to you by the Holy Spirit. You have to use your own voice. God will not force you to speak. Don’t be concerned with how it sounds. It is a heavenly language!

Continue with the blessing God has given you and pray in tongues each day. You are a born-again, Spirit-filled believer. You’ll never be the same!

Prayer Mountain Conference with Kenneth and Gloria Copeland

Join Billye Brim with special guests Kenneth & Gloria Copeland at the 2009 Prayer Mountain Conference in Branson. Admission is FREE! Praise the Lord! The conference will be in the beautiful Branson Hilton Convention Center near Branson Landing. Joining Dr. Billye Brim will be Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Lynne Hammond, Lucy McKee, Chip Brim, and Pastors Kylie Oaks & Melissa Harris.

A pre-conference prayer meeting will be held Wednesday evening, October 28th at 7:00pm. We will also be conducting our Wednesday Prayer Webcast in the meeting hall at the convention center from 12:00 – 1:00pm.

Teaching and prayer meetings will be held Thursday – Saturday at 9:30am, 2:30pm, and 7:00pm. Sunday services will be at 9:30am and 6:00pm. Please note that the speaker schedule will be as the Holy Spirit directs and will not be pre-announced. The tent meeting will be held on Prayer Mountain Monday, November 2nd at 10:00am.
